Over the years Headstone Rangers have competed in small sided competitions on and off the field. We always had two objectives for these sized games. Firstly to use these games as getting extra football to get us fit for the weekend, to get some decent match practise and also to win some trophies.

The first ever competition entered by a Headstone Rangers side was the 2003 Mount Carmel School 5-a-side competition at Hanwell Town Football Club. The side managed by Phil Crowcroft managed to win the competition and thus our small sided team was born.

Crofty then entered a side into a Thursday night League at Goals (Ruislip). Crofty used the majority of the squad over the year a 2 year spell with the Rangers managing to win the Premier Division once. Eventually the interest died down and with the spiralling costs of Goals we decided to leave the League.

In May 2004, James Wheeler entered a 6-a-side team in a knockout competition at Brentford Football Club. After walking through the group stage by winning the group, an mistake by goalkeeper Olly Cotton saw us beaten 1-0 in a quarter-final - a result that haunts Wheels and Crofty to this day.

In December 2008, Wheels entered a 6-a-side team in a Football Mundial 6-a-side League which was being held at Harrow School.
