James Wheeler

D/O/B 5th November 1980
OCCUPATION Football Statistician
SUPPORTS Brentford
POSITION Centre Midfield / Goalkeeper.
NICKNAME 'Wheels'
PLAYS A BIT LIKE . . . Michael Carrick
SQUAD NUMBER 16
PREVIOUS CLUBS Pinner Albion, Harrow Town & Herons
DEBUT 24.8.97 VS SFC Wealdstone
APPEARANCES 152
GOALS 3

James plays in the middle of the park doing the sort of role that Claude Makelele does for Chelsea, stopping the opposition getting into the ‘gap’ and allowing the rest of his team to attack.

James loves tackling, even saying that he prefers tackling to goalscoring. But he hasn’t got the greatest record has he. James did however score twice during the 03-04, once against Xotic and once on tour.

James is currently Secretary, Programme editor, Tour Organiser and Web site editor.

At the 2006 awards night, James was made Life Vice-President by his fellow players for all the work he has done for the club.

Last season Wheels showed that he is a handy goalkeeper!
