(Monday April 20th 2008) Headstone Rangers are to play in next month's Harrow Sunday Challenge League Premier Cup Final after beating Rayners Lane 2001 on penalties after drawing 1-1 with their great rivals after 120 minutes. Player-Manager Phil Crowcroft gave Headstone a first half lead after volleying home from just inside the penalty box after a superb long ball by defender Alan Hunter. Rayners Lane equalised just before half time and although both sides pressed for the remainder of the 90 minutes there were only a few clear cut chances with Ben Aitken making 3 great saves. Midfielder Michael Davidson had a great chance to win the tie for us when his header in the last minute of extra time smashed against the cross bar. Goalkeeper Ben Aitken took the first penalty in the shoot out and he smashed his spot kick home. Benjani then saved two penalties while Don Ellam, Alan Hunter and Paul Jarvis converted to give the Rangers a well deserved win.

(Monday January 26th 2008) Captain Paul Jarvis reached 200 games for the club towards the end of last year in the Harrow Sunday Challenge League Premier League home draw against Stonefield Wanderers. Jarvo also scored in the 6 goal thriller. This website will have a special feature on Paul including an interview in the coming weeks as he talks about captaining the club for a second time and his joy at becoming the first Ranger to 200 games.
